About United Way Oxford, OH & Vicinity

Mission & Philosophy

United Way of Oxford, Ohio, and Vicinity seeks to mobilize the caring power of our communities to achieve measurable improvement in the lives of our most vulnerable residents. Throughout our work, we partner with neighborhood agencies, government, business, foundations, volunteers and others so that collectively we can achieve more than any one organization working alone.

We believe results matter. In a community as unique as Oxford and vicinity, results come from:

  • Caring: We are about people helping people. We care deeply about the individual lives that are changed with the help of United Way of Oxford and vicinity. We stand for helping, hope and optimism.
  • Approach ability: We understand the importance of being accessible and empathetic to all we serve. We believe great results come from working together.
  • Innovations: We are the leader and catalyst for change in the business of caring. We do not rest on our laurels. We look for approaches that have not yet been taken and seek new ways to solve community problems.
  • Trustworthiness: We seek high standards for our conduct. Contributions that donors and volunteers make are investments in our community. They trust us to be effective, efficient and good stewards of these investments.
